The Cemetery
Salterforth Cemetery is located on Salterforth Lane between Salterforth and Barnoldswick. It is signposted when entering the village.
There is one Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone to be found in the cemetery. It is in the south east quarter and is the resting place of T Brough.
Thomas Brough was born in Bilsby, Lincolnshire. It is not known why he was in the Salterforth area, but it seems he had heart failure while here and died. This is probably why he is not shown on the village war memorial.
